Despite the South Africans being rugby world champions and winning nearly two-thirds of all their international matches, the Springboks’ record is tarnished by New Zealand’s All Blacks.

The All Blacks have won 43 of the 60 tests they have played against South Africa in either home country since 1992. Of the 29 tests played in New Zealand, they’ve won 23. The Springboks have won just four (14%) and drawn two.

In South Africa, the Springboks have won 35% of the matches against the All Blacks. This is, however, less than half their overall win rate at home, which is 73%.

When playing at home, the Boks’ average final score is 23 points, four less than New Zealand’s average. When playing in New Zealand, the Springboks’ average score is 15.7 points, whereas the All Blacks score an average of 28 points.
